Caleb Barker

Coach Caleb Barker brings a wealth of collegiate playing and coaching experience to our program. From 2017 to 2019, Barker served as an Assistant Coach at the University of Houston, where he coached catchers and contributed to the Cougars’ offensive development. During his tenure, Houston captured three conference titles (two regular season and one tournament) and made two NCAA Regional appearances. Before his time at Houston, Barker spent the 2016 season as an Assistant Coach at Grayson College, helping guide one of the top junior college programs in the nation. As a player, Barker was a standout starting catcher for the University of Houston, earning First Team All-American Athletic Conference honors in 2014. Known for his defensive excellence, he posted a .996 fielding percentage with just two errors and set a program record by throwing out 30 runners attempting to steal. He was also a two-time Johnny Bench Award Watch List honoree, recognizing the nation’s top collegiate catchers. Coach Barker brings his extensive experience in catching development, defensive training, and offensive strategy to every athlete he works with—helping players build the skill, toughness, and consistency required to compete at the next level.
